COUCH TO MOUNTAINTOP
Training for trails, longevity, and a healthier relationship with movement
Couch to Mountaintop is a beginner-friendly, training program designed for people who want to move more consistently, feel stronger in their bodies, and spend meaningful time outdoors without pressure to be fast or “fit enough.”
Running over the course of several months, the program gradually builds endurance, strength, and confidence on the trails, with the option to finish by participating in a local trail race. More importantly, it supports habits that encourage long-term health, mental well-being, and a sustainable relationship with movement.
No prior running experience required. Walking, run/walk, and slow running are all welcome.
This program is for you if:
You don’t exercise regularly or want more structure and support
You walk or run very low mileage and want to build gradually
You’re curious about trail running but unsure where to start
You value health, longevity, and consistency over speed or competition
You want accountability, guidance, and community
You crave more time outside for your mental health
You do not need to:
Be fast
Be a “runner”
Have trail experience
Train every day
At its core, Couch to Mountaintop is about moving well for life.
We focus on:
Gradual, realistic progression
Strength and mobility to support aging well
Listening to the body instead of pushing through pain
Using time outdoors as a tool for stress relief and mental clarity
The goal isn’t to overhaul your life, it’s to build habits you can actually keep
All program levels include registration to the trail festival 10K event, personalized training plan, and access to the private Couch to Mountaintop community Facebook group.

How the Program Ends
The 10K trail run is not a test of fitness or speed. It is a celebration of consistency, resilience, and the time you invested in building a stronger, more confident relationship with movement.
Participation in the Megunticook Trail Festival 10K on September 12th is optional but encouraged as a meaningful personal milestone. For non-locals, you can also feel free to find another race or route in your area as your goal.
Hello! I’m Ramona.
I’m a lifelong runner, certified yoga teacher, and personal trainer who has spent the last decade helping people move better, stay strong, and enjoy their lives fully.
As an adventurous mother of teenagers, my life goal is to be doing the same things with my grandchildren that I’m doing with my kids today—which means building a movement practice rooted in longevity.
I believe fitness should support the life you want to live. My approach blends strength, mobility, and mindful movement to help people stay resilient, capable, and energized for the long run. Whether it’s running trails, getting up off the floor with ease, or simply feeling strong in your body, my goal is to help people build habits that carry them through every season of life.
